Description
Gayo is a mountainous region in Aceh Indonesia that only natives of the area have access to. It is known for its very expensive and rare coffee that has unique characteristics due to the extremely fertile volcanic soil in the reigon. On average this region is 1,400 meters above sea level. It is very rare to obtain leaf from this region as only the native people of Aceh is allowed access. It results in plants of all types that thrive above pollution and wildly using only natural nutrients found in the soil. This is an ancient location. A bit a Trivia, if you have seen the Leonardo DiCaprio film “The Beach”, it was mostly filmed in the Gayo reigon of Aceh.
It is excellent leaf, finished traditionally with a slow net dry indoor. Fine grind and very fresh. Some of the finest Aceh leaf available.
